So I’ve been playing Picross DS so much that I seem to be integrating it into all my thoughts.

Ubisoft decided to give away Far Cry, Rayman Raving Rabbids, and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time for free with the catch being that there are ads in the game. I downloaded Far Cry and Rayman, but only played 1 mini-game in Rayman so far. There is an ad for McDonald’s at the start of the game and after you beat a mini-game. So far the ads are pretty short. I like the idea of ad supported games for free. The ads are short enough not to be annoying and if I really like the game and hate the ads I can go out and buy it.
I downloaded the Stranglehold demo for XBox360 and it was fun. Graphics are nice. Seems to be about the same as Rainbow Six Vegas. There is a real cinematic feel to it which I really like. The game play is like Max Payne, with the whole bullet time mechanic, except it’s called Tequila Time. They add a nice addition like the Tequila Bombs. You get a separate meter that allows you to perform 4 different Tequila Bomb moves. I only received 3 of the 4 in the demo from what I played. You can use the Tequila Bomb meter to gain health, go into a slow motion mode that allows you to aim more carefully to head shot enemies, and you go into a sort of hyper mode where you shoot extra fast. Another move is when you run over any surface you slide across it on your butt. This seems silly at first, but it lets you keep moving in a cluttered environment without knocking into furniture. The one thing I wish they added was some sort of indication of when you had low health. I would be concentrating on trying to kill everyone on screen and after killing the wave of enemies I see that I have really low health.
Would I buy this game? Probably not at full price. It’s a fun game, but I just can’t justify spending $60 on single player action games like these anymore. Maybe if the 360 version came with the Hard Boiled movie like the PS3 version. This game is definitely worth a rental or a wait until the price drops. Just remember, this is only from my impressions of the demo, not the full retail game.
So I play World of Warcraft. I had a paladin called Blackadin. In the trade channel I started making fun of the way a guy typed with LoWeR cAsE aNd UpPeR cAsE when some dumbass threatened me. He said that I shouldn’t make fun of the way people speak (What the fuck? I was just saying how CoOL iT Is tO TyPe LiKe ThIs.) and that it’s really easy for him to report my name and make Blizzard change it.
About ten minutes later in a battleground, a GM whispers me about how I might have violated policies and that I will be kicked from the game. I could barely get out a reply of “wtf is this?” before I got booted from the game. I try to log back in and I was met with a dialog box to create a new name. I came up with a new name, but it just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
