what are the dimensions of a 32 inch screen?

I am in a bit of a disadvantage, I have not ruler, tape measurer or screen to work with, please help. For example, hight by length in inches and mm, thnx x

In the US, there are two different proportions for screens, the older 4×3 and the newer widescreen 16×9.

32 inch is the diagonal measure.

for the 4:3, the hyp would be √(4² + 3²) = 5
so the proportions are 3:4:5
or 32 (diangonal), (4/5)32 = 25.6 (width), (3/5)32 = 19.2 (height)

for the 16:9, the hyp would be √(16² + 9²) = 18.4
so the proportions are 9:16:18.4
or 32 (diangonal), (16/18.4)32 = 27.9 (width), (9/18.4)32 = 15.7 (height)

those are in inches, you can convert to mm
